150GW Nuclear Power Plant




Welcome. These are my four nuclear power plants, each one has a factory producing 3/min uranium fuel rods, 6 reactors at 250% and recycling 150/min uranium waste. One plant produces 37.500 MW, so it is 150.000 MW in total.
The plants can be run separately or all together as long as you make sure to fill the train stations with all needed resources. There are 10 train stations, each with four slots/cars. You need to bring in nearly every type of resource: Bauxite, Coal, Iron, Caterium, Oil, Nitrogen Gas, Sulfur, Limestone, Quartz and Copper.

- Step 1: Connect the train stations to your rail network and bring in all the resources.
- Step 2: Connect power lines and start the factory and the recycling.
- Step 3: Start the fuel rod production and wait a few minutes for the reactors to start.
If you want to shutdown power production just stop the fuel rod production. the reactors will stop working after a few minutes. But make sure to keep the factory and the recycling running until all waste is processed.
No batteries / power storage included. I know i won't get a design price for this. So feel free to modify.

Thank You @Elaine for your detailed description how to optimize this thing :) I already have built an entirely new power plant since Release 1.0 came out. The new plant is located in the swamp and produces loads of power, using uranium fuel rods, plutonium fuel rods and ficsonium. It is a extremly complicated thing, but it works very well. But the plant will collide with any train network running through the swamp, so you will have to prepare your network before importing this beast. Still you will find enough things to optimize in that plant, i will upload the megaprint next week

Additional thing for saving power consumption is that you can underclock the Water Extractors which are connected to the production factor. There are 6 Extractors for each annex and 24 in total, all fully overclocked to produce 300 Waters p/m. The required amount of Waters to be underclocked for each production is as follows (the amount of being saved is in bracket): 240(60) to 3 refineries for Sulfuric Acid production in the 1st floor, 180(120) to 2 refineries for Concretes production in the 1st floor, 212(88) to 6 refineries for Caterium and Copper Ores in the 1st floor, 75(225) to 3 refineries for Copper Sheets production in the 1st floor, 182.267(117.733) to 3 refineries for Alumina Solution and Copper Sheets production in the 2nd floor, 182.167(117.833) to 4 refineries for Caterium and Copper Ores + Sulfuric Acid production in the 2nd floor.
Please note that the above numbers are for each annex and Waters for Concretes production is calculated after finished adjustment from 45 to 54 as I mentioned before.

FYI I calculated the total required amount of all resources per minute for each and 4 annex as follows (the grand total for 4 annex is in bracket): 356.75(1,427) Iron Ores, 64(256) Copper Ores, 202.5(810) Limestones, 393(1,527) Coals, 67.5(270) Raw Quartz, 307.5(1,230) Sulfurs, 284(1,136) Caterium Ores, 116.667(466.668) Bauxites, 225(900) Crude Oils, 270(1,080) Nitrogen Gas.
One thing you need to do before starting production is to adjust Concretes production of refinery from 45 to 54, which is in the 1st floor and connected to 3 assemblers for Encased Industrial Beams, the same one I mentioned in the above. This is because each assembler requires 18 Concretes for producting 3 Encased Industrial Beams and total of 54 Concretes for 9 Beams, but only one refinery is connected to them for distribution which is producing 45 Concretes in default setting.
Also you can reduce the required amount of Iron Ores to 320.75(1,283) and Coals to 357(1,428) by adjusting Steel Ingots production of 3 foundries from 48 to 36 p/m each, which are in the 1st floor and connected to 3 assemblers for Steel Beams production. This is because those 3 assemblers are producing 12 each and 36 total Steel Beams for producing 3 each and 9 total Encased Industrial Beams, but the required Steel Beams for that production are 9 each and 27 total. So reducing Steel beams production results in reduced Steel Ingots requirement, from 48 Ingots for 36 Beams to 36 Ingots for 27 Beams.

@The Admiral480: So why did i not use better recipies.. well i just didn't. Why did i not build it better or more efficient... i could have, yes. i am not satisfied with the end result of the plant. But in the end it works fine. i plan to build a new one after 1.0 is released, in addition to a brand new train network on the entire map. Still I wonder why you don't build a plant the way you would do it and upload it as a megaprint. I'd love to see your approach.

Okay, one concern I have is this... why aren't you using better recipies for Steel Ingots such as using Solid Steel Ingots, or making things better rather than running THREE different parallel production lines for a singular manufacturuer at the end before it gets turned into power? I do understand it may not have existed but there is a VERY limited amount of resources a singular person can extract from one location and that's without the transportation nonsense.
