Oil Rig v1.0
Oil Rig v1.0
For Satisfactory v1.0
An architecturally inspired 1800/min Rubber and 450/min Plastic Plant, located in the Ocean just West of the Islands Biome. The Oil Rig production output is sub-divided into four 450/min Rubber production lines and one 450/min Plastic production line, each only requiring 150/min Crude Oil supplied from an Oil Well Pressurizer within the large Oil Storage Tank.
Rubber and Plastic can be transported off the Oil Rig via Train or Drone. Each Production Line feeds it's own dedicated Drone. The Train Station has three Freight Platforms, the first one holds Plastic only, with the second and third holding Rubber. The sixth Drone Port will retrieve Drone Fuel (whatever you assign it to collect) and it's Port will distribute the Fuel to all Drone Ports on the Oil Rig via Conveyors.
- This MP come fully stocked (Pipelines, Storage, Train and Drone Freight Storage), with the exception of Drone Fuel. Only the Drone Fuel Port has Batteries.
- Allow at least 5mins once all power has been applied, for the Production Line outputs to be up to speed.
- Each Production line has it's own dedicated Sink for Overflow to keep the Production flowing. These are located in the Control Room.
RESOURCES:
- All Pipes/Pumps are Mk.2 and connected to Water Extractors. The Production lines use a a mix of Mk.1/Mk.4 Conveyors and Lifts:
- 750 Crude Oil (150 per Production Line req).
- 2500 Water (499.9999 per Production Line req).
- 8600 MW Power Required (Calculated).
MODS / ALTERNATE RECIPES:
- No Mods that leave a footprint were used, only Throughput Counter and Power Checker. All Vanilla components.
- Awesome Shop items are used.
- Alt Recipes Used:
- Heavy Oil Residue
- Diluted Fuel
- Recycled Rubber
- Recycled Plastic
- Not Alternate Recipe - Residual Rubber
- All machines have been Overclocked to very specific percentages.
- The SCIM has been used to "cheese" 12 Water Extractors into this MP (all are powered and overclocked, but only 10 are in use. I may expand the Plastic production in a version update).
NOTES:
- Lighting Control and Sub-Section Power Controls have a dedicated room and signage.
- Power can be shutoff to individual Production Lines and their associated Drone without affecting any other Production Line.
- The Main Power Switch is located next to the Power Tower by the Oil Rig and is turned OFF. Turn it on once a Power Line is connected to the Power Tower closest to the Small Oil Storage Tank.
- Some clipping, except for the Balancer (it's all clipped up).
- You must run your own Rails to the Train Station, or you can remove it without disrupting any of the Production Lines.
- Most everything on the top deck of the Oil Rig and ALL Fluid Buffers are being used for props only and have no functionality to the Production Lines.
- The Small Oil Storage Tank houses a Pure Crude Oil node NOT currently in use.
Custom Colors I used that I hope transfered: Plastic Production Water Pipe = #00b9fb, Building Main = #fbf6e3, Building Trim = #5f668c, Water Pipe = #1663ad, Crude Oil Pipe = #0a090f, Heavy Oil Residue Pipe = #ae1cd7, Diluted Fuel Pipe = #d47615

Forgot to add this you can re hook up the oil pipes after you just have to delete the ones in the containers and replace all wall holes
-
KittyKat - Jul 16, 2025, 11:41:04 PM
The train fix is easy just turn off self driving mode and re enable it when you set it up (or delete it) as for the pipeline crashing just delete the other pipes that connect to the one causing the crash and get rid of the wall hole. This is a known issue in UE4 networked fluid systems (especially in Satisfactory), where build order and actor initialization timing are crucial. Wall attachments and extractors each try to register to a shared fluid network, but if the network isn't ready or has a dangling reference, it crashes instead of handling it gracefully.

the rig is AMAZING, but how the actual hell did you pull off the water pumps in the supports????

works perfectly, looks amazing from a distance, love how it uses just the well for it also. 5 stars :)

@T2KR1AS Because it is a Megaprint, it can only be loaded into a .sav game file using the SCIM. Here is a link, written by a SCIM Discord member that can help explain the process. https://discord.com/channels/156642424339300352/761128622580039711/1114664529331241050

Can sombody explain me how i can get this blueprint to my world
-
Moobien - Nov 23, 2024, 10:08:49 PM
would it be difficult to change the productions to reduce rubber production and increase plastic production?
-
Andy - Nov 11, 2024, 11:24:49 AM
Very nice looking layout ! In my world, I did not see the need for so much rubber, so I tore out 3/4 of the refineries on the middle deck and replaced them with 6 blenders - that way I could bring in nitrogen, coal and sulphur via train and turn the remaining 1200 fuel into 1800 nitro rocket fuel instead. Some of which I packaged on the deck in the existing packagers, and the rest I pipelined out to a power station.

Can't edit the previous comment. But was able to remove the train by disabling the auto-drive.

Z3phyr0s - Oct 28, 2024, 8:06:00 PM
@Ogmosis, is the oil extractor inside the first building (closest to the main-land). I realized that it isn't fully connected to the oil rig by pipes, and not needed. But i don't know why if I connect it to the pipe on the building's wall the game crashes. Also, I can't use the Train nor delete it, it is bugged trying to dock.
-
Ogmosis - Oct 28, 2024, 1:13:16 PM
@Z3phyr0s The Oil Well Extractor inside the Large Oil Storage Tank? I am not sure where you are referring to as all of the Pipelines are connected with the MP.
-
Z3phyr0s - Oct 28, 2024, 3:09:18 AM
Unfortunately my game crashes immediately when I connect the oil extractor's pipe with the pipe of the first structure.
