Aesthetic Rail Network: Bridges of the World, v1.1.1
A whole world rail loop, prioritising aesthetics by including many bridge designs, often inspired by bridges in the real world.

Although I focused on aesthetics here, this megaprint's rail network is deliberately quite barebones. I usually create small branch lines when they're needed, so I may create further versions of this at some point with more coverage. I have also included only a small number of example train station locations for this same reason.
Some of the real world bridges that were used as inspiration for this rail loop include the:
- Pingtang Bridge
- Sydney Harbour Bridge
- Seri Wawasan Bridge
- Rialto Bridge
- Sunniberg Bridge
- Brooklyn Bridge
- Juscelino Kubitschek Bridge
- Yachi Railway Bridge
- Ouse Valley Viaduct
- Millau Viaduct
- Humber Bridge (and the Golden Gate Bridge)
- Menai Suspension Bridge
- etc.
Everything has been painstakingly built using vanilla parts, and vanilla methods. So no mods are needed for this (though the interactive map was used to do some copy/pasting for extremely repetitive areas). The vast majority of the loop is also aligned to the world grid, with the exception of any curves, and a couple of locations where a 2m offset or half foundations are sometimes used (such as for the main span of the Seri Wawasan inspired bridge).
I've done my best to avoid interfering with power slugs, artifacts, drop pods, and resource nodes. These bridges were all built in my main save, and then copied across to a clean save so that I could double check them. But if you find any locations where the megaprint is obstructing something, please let me know and I'll see what adjustments I can make. Instances I'm aware of: the tracks go just either side of a Limestone node in the rocky desert, and just avoid a Caterium node in the dune desert. It's still perfectly possible to put miners on those nodes, but you'll be a bit more restricted with how you build around them.
Small note: your browser might freeze for a second or two when pasting the megaprint into your save on the interactive map (mine certainly does), so just give it a moment to complete :) (this megaprint is pretty huge after all!)

v1.1 (2024-09-19, update for the Satisfactory Stable release):
- Fixed: crash when using the megaprint with v1.0 of the game
- Changed: some train stations have changed location (and a couple of others have been added)
- Added: new bridges (Menai Suspension inspired crossroads in the Dune Desert, spiral bridge between the Desert Canyons and Spire Coast, and Khaju inspired bridge between the Islands and the Rocky Desert).
- Added: some new roundabouts
- Added: left-hand side signalling (but some people commented on here and on YouTube that they found signalling difficult for some of the roundabouts and example train station junctions)
- Note: the latest updates in Satisfactory 1.0 have caused some node conflicts just north of The Swamp (where some Quartz nodes were removed, and some Iron nodes were added) - I haven't made adjustments for these yet.

That's the Khaju Bridge inspired section. I use it in my main save for some rubber transport to another factory, but it connects to the main track through one of my factories. I liked the bridge, so decided to include it, but I cut out the connecting bit to keep the megaprint clean. You can of course delete it from your world easily enough.

Awesome job, really enjoying it! Found a minor issue with a bridge support at 1222,-1163. Missing a stairway peice and a bit of the support, probably just barely clipped it removing something else I'd guess.

Hey man, love the blueprint so far. Just a heads up, there appears to be 8 leftover Beam connectors around 252000, -259000. They're floating in the air at about 3000 Z. No biggie at all, but thought I might as well let you know

I hadn't spotted that disconnect. Thank you - I'll hunt that down later. I've been chopping this up to create separate megaprints for each bridge too, so it may be in one of those as well.

- I plan to redo the bridge section by that clipping iron node at some point regardless. I don't mind a little clipping here and there (with trees and things) but I definitely don't want it to get in the way of any nodes. I did that section ages ago, before the Titan Forest was reworked. There are quite a few clipping trees and things there now as a result. But I really like the bridge to the right of there, and definitely don't want to redo that one. So I need to experiment with it.
- I have plans to add more to it, yes :). I rushed a little to get the latest version up to fix it being broken. The northeast bit in particular in the desert connects straight to a compacted coal factory in my main save, so I'd need to add something else there for the megaprint.
- Do you mean the double circle roundabouts? As with all roundabouts, the simplest way is to use a Path Signal at each entry point, with a Block Signal at each exit. The double roundabout is a little quicker for trains that are turning around, because they always take the shortest route and therefore use the inner circle.
I'm glad you're enjoying it :). I may redo the Circles Bridge in the Southeast at some point too. The signalling has occasional issues. I haven't decided what bridge to replace it with yet (currently thinking either the Puente de la Mujer, or the Octavio Frias de Oliveira bridge)

I found a Railway disconnect at 293110,-76580. Basically East side just south of the cross a bit. Try driving a train there and you'll find it. Note it is worse in Right hand drive. Halts the train. If using left hand drive, it only glitches for a moment. Probably how it was missed. :-)

Hello Leon. This is amazing. I love the new bridges. Thank you so much for updating for 1.0! A little feedback.
- Regarding those three Iron nodes, only one normal node can't have a miner without clipping. And there is plenty of Iron in the area. So, I wouldn't bother moving that whole bridge for just that.
- I see there are two unfinished sections, one in the Northeast and another in the North central. Do you have plans for these?
- The double circles in the South South West seem difficult to set the signals. (I'm using Right hand drive). Could you explain them a bit? vs. the single circles you use elsewhere? Again thank you very much for all your hard work. These bridges are truly works of architectural art.

If you want a version without signals, you can load the megaprint on the interactive map, filter the items to just show signals, and then delete all of the signals. You can then add your own signalling as you need it :)

I've just uploaded a new version. I also downloaded it again and pasted it onto a new save in 1.0, had a quick fly around, and it all seems to be okay. There are some changes compared to the original version, which I've detailed in the megaprint description :)

I'm aware that this is currently broken. Some of it was made with convenience mods (mainly just for copying/pasting areas, though mods weren't needed to use it), but due to changes Coffee Stain made with how some item checks and saving works in 1.0, it's caused this to be broken.
I've just about finished fixing it, so I'm going to upload an updated version soon. This time I plan to include signalling as well (left hand side).
