Late Game Smelter Block (1200/m)

Smelter x40

Easily expandable/modular.

Input (choose one):

  • 1200 Iron Ore
  • 1200 Copper Ore
  • 1200 Caterium Ore (only needs 26 smelters)
  • 1200 Aluminum Scrap - alternate recipe (only needs 20 smelters)

Output:

  • 1200 Iron Ingot
  • 1200 Copper Ingot
  • 400 Caterium Ingot
  • 600 Aluminum Ingot

    @Caduzeus Personal preference, I don't like the look and sound of 16 overclocked smelters in a compact factory. I'd rather build big, especially when building in a more brutalistic style.

    If you have mk6 belts, surely you have a small setup for power shards. And if you do, why would you not shard every machine? It is so much better to have 16 overclocked machines than 40 without OC.

    I had the pleasure of hand-making a factory to produce 6000 copper ingots/min from two pure nodes to turn into copper powder. Looking for a shortcut on my next playthrough :-)

    Thanks for making use of it!

    I probably will at some point, but making these takes quite a long time. I plan on making the 'basics' first before I touch specific alternate recipes.

    Thanks for blueprint! Have you thought about a refinery version of this using all the "pure" alternate recipes? Or is that annoying because they all have different ratios...
