Thankfully we have a good number of choices when it comes to automated and dynamic storage, but what about a proper single-item storage that doesn't get in the way?

This.. "facility" if you will, does absolutely nothing. No logic underneath whatsoever, doesn't sort, doesn't discriminate, what you put in is what you get out. But it does store an absolutely retarded amount of solid materials. Some 4,087 Industrial Storage Containers, linked together by Mk.5 Conveyor belts in series. It's basically a giant container with two inputs and two outputs. I can't tell you how much you can put in it, since it depends on different stack sizes. IT'S A LOT. The construction goes all the way down near the kill-floor but keeping a safe distance from it, in case you fall in. It has a triple floor structure, meaning you can accidentally dismantle two layers and still not fall through.

• One insanely large underground storage container.

I hope you find this useful, I can think of a good number of uses for it, including dumping radioactive waste (I know it's not quite out of the way in that matter, I will upload another one soon, somewhere near the edge of the map). In my case, I use it to store all the acquired Packaged Liquid Biofuel from all my hunts. It really fills a hole :)
