Desert metalworks factory primarily to produce steel pipe (to supply my Desert Motors factory), but also produces steel beams, copper sheets, iron plates and screws.

Steelworks

The southern site in this blueprint, featuring 96 Iron Ingot smelters and 48 Solid Steel Ingot foundries. Coal is delivered via train.

Metal Fabrication Factory

Produces basic metal parts, featuring:

• 14 x Caterium Wire constructors
• 14 x Cable constructors
• 45 x Iron Plate constructors
• 14 x Iron Rod constructors
• 14 x Steel Beam constructors
• 28 x Copper Sheet constructors
• 56 x Steel Pipe constructors
• 30 x Cast Screw constructors

Ground floor of the middle building contains the power room for the site.

Logistics

Train route to collect coal from the north of the desert to the steelworks. Second train route to deliver metals from the steelworks to metal fabrication factory. At the factory, produced goods are delivered both by conveyors under the road, and by truck in case your factory is far away. If you want to use the truck stations, you will need to supply fuel (input under south road, indicated by a sign).

Power switches inside the middle building ground floor of the main factory site. Connect power to any of the power pylons running south-north.

• V1.0: Initial Version.
• V2.0: updated together with my desert motors factory in the area. Also uses Update 6 parts.
• v2.1: Fixed missing conveyor lift on steel foundry output (south foundry stack). Also minor adjustments to railway.
• V3.0: Overall reorganization using update 8 pieces, adjusted to work with my other Dune Desert megaprints.

Modded Content

This blueprint uses oversized pieces, mainly for walls, roads and walkways. I have left the floor under constructors as regular pieces to allow for easier change.
