Updated! Massive Storage x86 (10 Belts Input and Output)
A massive central storage with 86 containers, sorting system, overflow, and 10 belts Input and Output (each). The design is inspired by a central storage by KalunoGaming (Shout out to him/her). The storage has a diameter of 23 platforms so the 12th would be the middle one. Put Z Offset to -900 to get the entrances on the height of your platform. Proposal for improvements and opinions are welcome. Especially about the output system ... I'm not 100% happy with that. On the top floor you could make an entrance for explorers and tractors on the left and the right side so you can access it by car.

They go straight to the output belts. On the lower level in the middle, there is container and a splitter infront. you can sort anything into the container, you dont want to go to the output.

Very nice storage solution. Where do the mined product like iron or copper ingot go?

Ok, just had a good chat with the author of this BP and found out that it is working as intended. He was very helpful and I really enjoy this BP.

Really want to like th BP but apparently the one im downloading is not the v.06 as all items fillup one container then dump to output. Any chance i can get the updated version?

@DKHSniper As i already said in an earlier commen ... "each item has 6 containers. 1 on the upper floor witch is for "personal" storage. the 5 containers on the lower floor only function as buffer. Since there are 10 belts imput and only 1 belt to the upper floor, i didn't wanted the sorting system to be lagging when sorting high amounts of one item. this means 2 imput belts are connected to 1 buffer container. I recommend to build a system to mix all 10 input belts before connecting them to the sorting system to get the best possible throughput. Belts 1 and 2 are connected to the same buffer storage, Belt 3 and 4 are connected to the same buffer storage and so forth. So these pairs should never be fully filled with the same items, otherwise the system will start lagging." If you still have problems, you can hit me up on discord and we can try to fix your problem. and where do you bring your items in from your factorys
-
DKHSNIPER - Mar 5, 2023, 2:26:55 AM
and i dont understand why the main are items are carried by the smart splitter that is set to the overflow
-
DKHSNIPER - Mar 5, 2023, 1:58:26 AM
my containers seem to not work the one in the main area works then the top one in the stacked row then the others just seem to not fill up with the rest of my items and head to the output

@Rusty_Scar Thank you for your response. You did nothing wrong there. I forgot to setup the overflow settings on the outer splitters. Should be fixed by now.

The new file name should have a v0.6 at the end. The file has to be aproved by the admin so it might thake a few hours until you have the updated file. Full filename (updated): Massive Storage x76 (10 Belts Input and Output) v0.6.cbp

Thanks for your suggestions guys. I finally updated the blueprint. @ Morgoth ... the output concept was pretty simple ... all items go to the upper floor until the containers are full. The Overflow will then go on one of the 10 output belts. the output belts are mainly for the awesome sink so the sorting system is never blocked. You could aswell send the output to a recycling factory if you have one. Now I added smart splitter on the outside just before the lift to the upper floor you can get your sorted items there from now on. @ Novoca ... each item has 6 containers. So these pairs should never be fully filled with the same items, otherwise the system will start lagging.

There seems to be a bit of a problem with the logic behind overflow. Each item has 6 storage containers however only one every gets full (the very last one on the top level). The other 5 just empty straight out as the overflow logic is placed after their outputs. Items back up at the input of the last container when it's full however they will never back up to fill the other 5 containers as the smart splitter redirects overflow items onto a belt. Smart splitter needs to be before the 5 other containers

Please ignore my previous post as I've fixed all the issues myself

Would like to use this however not with the current issues listed below. Have you fixed those yet?

Hi, I do not understand the output concept. The inputs are staright forward: anything goes in on any of the 10 belts and gets sorted into 76 categories. Thats great ! But how do I get specific items out on any of the 10 output belts ? Do I have to program this somewherre ? What is it that currently is supposed to come out ? I did a test run and fed some stuff in, it gets sorted nicely, but nothing comes out on any of the output belts.

thanks m8 for your suggestions.. i'm gonna fix these issues during the following week. good idea to use asphalt as material ... didn't even thought that far but it never really bothered me that much to be honest. I'm gonna include some update 6 stuff aswell

Updated comment with everything I've found.
Needed improvements: -Crystal Oscillator Icon above storage container on sign to the right of it. -Sign to the right of container with Crystal Oscillator is unused and should be blank. -Solid Biofuel icon set incorrectly above storage unit, currently set to Iron Plates. -Spelling issues on sign labels. Standard spelled as "standart." "Refined Ressources" should be corrected to Resources. -Two portable miners actively mining limestone outside of the unit. Clearly should be excluded.
Recommended Improvements: -Change material to Asphalt for most flat floor pieces. There is a TON of visual flashing and flickering that happens when using Grip Metal (steel) as the foundation material. Asphalt hides this quite well. Issue doesn't apply to roof pieces as it only effects pieces that share a plane. The angled pieces rotate around and therefore get around the issue.

Just a few suggestions for improvements that I've noticed. There are multiple spelling errors on several signs. Also there are 2 portable miners outside that were accidentally included.
