With the announcement of rocket fuel, nuclear power plants may seem less appealing. However, for those who still want one, here’s another monster of mine. Easy to set up, fully stable. “Clean” meaning uranium waste is reprocessed into plutonium rods and then fed into a sink.

Feel free to use the plutonium rods in other reactors or as fuel. For example, a tractor can run for 7 hours 34 minutes on a single plutonium rod. Drones also run almost twice as fast with plutonium rods compared to standard fuel. Just remember to send any overflow to the sink to avoid clogging the power plant. Because it’s quite large, you can't build it everywhere; I recommend placing a central foundation, snapping the blueprint to it, and nudging it slightly into place.

How to Start It

  1. Connect all resources except uranium. It’s crucial not to connect the uranium initially for a smooth start.

  2. Wait until both red-colored Manufacturers have full internal storage of Electromagnetic Control Rods. This will take around 2 hours, as it’s a complex manifold system.

  3. Once both red-colored Manufacturers are full of Control Rods, connect the uranium.

  4. In about 20 minutes, you’ll have a stable 75 GW output.

Make sure to follow this start-up procedure; otherwise, it may take many hours to reach full stability.

If you plan to deliver packaged nitrogen gas, there is space for a Packager next to the Blenders, and you can connect the output directly to the Blenders.

No mods are required.

If you need to add more inventory slots, there are three ways:

Easiest Method

  • Find your game.ini file at:
    %LOCALAPPDATA%\FactoryGame\Saved\Config\Windows
  • Open it and add these three lines:
    [/Script/FactoryGame.FGPlayerSettings]
    mDefaultPlayerInventorySlots=200
    mDefaultArmEquipmentSlots=5
  • Save the file, start the game, and you will have 200 inventory slots.
