@BURGprint - You stole Katoo's BP and changed a few colors. This is really pathetic bro, delete this. Katoo made his case crystal clear - This is a U7 blueprint and was uploaded a month after 1.0 came out further proving you stole his stuff. This isn't even an inspiration, this is a legit carbon 1:1 copy.

Wow, this whole thing went a little unhinged, I think some people need to step back, take some deep breaths and maybe realize they owe an apology. Thanks for the BP Burgprint. Love it!!

I tested it before uploading and got 6000MW. It can take quite a while for every generator to get fully saturated, especially if you're barely providing enough fuel. It is a manifold after all.

I'll try again when I get home and dismantle+update the bp if there is indeed something wrong.

one of the fuel gens doesnt receive fuel. Might wanna check it out.. Great bp otherwise.

TL;DR: Please download both BPs and inspect for yourself, there are plenty of differences to suggest that BURGprint's was built from scratch. No one "owns" an arrangement of machines in a bloody video game. And I'm not even going to get into the... honestly disgraceful, conduct of some of the participants in this conversation.

I find it sad that some of the people in this conversation have just stated that this is "clearly a copy" and never bothered to download both blueprints and compare when it only takes a few minutes and some dismantling :)

So I spent some time looking at both blueprints in the game. Besides the obvious aesthetic changes, the internal pipe layout is completely different. Fair enough, Burg removed one of the buffers but that doesn't mean he had to redo the entire internal manifold. The pipe floor holes are also snapped differently, Katoo nudged them about 20cm down into the floor (so they are flush), whereas BURGprint's are snapped at the default game height, with the visible screw threads. Since the floor height is identical, Burg would've either had to move the existing holes (possible with the Build Gun Utilities mod) or replace them and align them perfectly in a circle, pretty hard to do unless you have them in a single generator template before rotation.
But most importantly, once you dismantle the buffers there's an obvious difference, Katoo used a daisy-chaining mod (probably SirDigby's, afaik that keeps the connections without having the mod installed), while BURGprint has individual mk1 wall outlets, again perfectly aligned and rotated with each fuel gen. I might be wrong but the only way to do that is to create a single generator blueprint and use that as the template and then nudge/rotate it into place (joust look at the count of outlets in the breakdown tab).

The last bit is Katoo's statement that the visual bug only happens when you port from U7. I'm assuming that by "visual bug" he is referring to the black metal pieces with the black-yellow warning pattern visible above the pipes. Those are clipped together machine legs/feet (the ones that go to the ground when placed on uneven terrain). Those are generated during placement, and because of the heavy clipping, the feet end up on top of the pipes. There was a console command to get rid of them in the past ('ResetAllFactoryLegsToZero'), but that has since been disabled/removed.

Now for the originality argument, is anyone here seriously going to advocate that because Katoo had the idea to arrange 24 fuel generators in a circle and published the first BP here, anyone else who does something similar is automatically ripping off his creation? The fuel gen is an octagon with a significant radial symmetry, sorry, but a circle is just a natural choice, especially if you want to maximise the number of generators that you can fit in one of the vanilla BP editors.

@Jayme As Interslice clarified below, I didn't break any rules or policies. Publicly shared blueprints are not intellectual property. There's nothing to gain from having a popular blueprint. If you believe I did something wrong, you should report it to an administrator, they can take whatever actions they deem necessary. I'd obviously be fully accepting whatever outcome.

When did I ever insult the developer of this website? I have nothing but respect for them keeping things running and continually working to improve functionality. You're completely making things up.

@burgprint wtf ? First of all, it is copy and it is clear. I have no idea, if you broke some rules, server policy...it is clear plagiarism, you should remove it. But my problem is more with fact, that you are insulting here developer of satisfactory interactive map Anthor. Are you fcking child, or really total idiot??? Whats wrong with you? You should think about yourself.

Is it not pathetic that you're making veiled threats to someone over a blueprint in a game? How else would you describe that? You're acting as if you own the place. There's a difference between sharing and controlling. I didnt have to give you credits in the first place. It's not your intellectual property.

Make a favor to yourself and read, before you post bullshits like this. I work for this community two years, my top downloaded BP has more than 28k downloads. Im proud, when people used my blueprints and create something new, better, different...Until now, lot of people did it. Then shit like you, came from nowhere, you are first one in my 2 years carrier, who totally copied my BP and telling me, that im pathetic? "build on something I originally designed" - can you see difference? Build on something and make a copy, is not same. You can be proud now, just for stealing my blueprint.

Congrats on having a group of people and connections with the site owner who can upvote, bury, or delete blueprints at your command. Quite the accomplishment in life, you must be proud. Do you not realize how pathetic this sounds over something so insignificant?

As to how I would react: if someone used my blueprints as inspiration, I'd feel proud. It's exciting to see others build on something I originally designed. I would never restrict access to a blueprint I shared publicly or make veiled threats and insinuate things, that would be absurd. It's a singleplayer game, there's nothing to gain from doing so.

Be thankful people appreciate what you've made and build upon it. After all, that's what blueprints are for.

They are existing people in this web site. If i ask for help, they will log, rate all your BPs, leave nice comments...and not create multiple accounts. Hope it is more clear now. Concerning discussion on discord, i have nothing to discuss with you. You have a chance to open discussion on official web page discord. And i repeat again, i nicely asked you to remove it in my first comment "Be so kind and unpublish it". You decided to answer me, that you dont see any reason. Lets see, how you will feel, if someone will take your BP, publish it and say, hey, i created it, i can show you how. It is my work, so i dont see reason to unpublish it. And thats all from my side, as i mentioned, community will judge you, there is no reason to ask Anthor for help and thats why i did not do it yet. BTW there are a lot of people using my blueprint in their own blueprint. And they can confirm, that i never complained, because they use it to create something different, not exactly same thing.

Insinuating I'm a liar multiple times while I have nothing to gain from lying. I've been honest about my methods. If you download it you'll see there's quite a lot of differences. I've also offered you to share your discord to discuss further. All I get back is that I'm a liar that's okay with stealing. I couldn't care less. I simply love this game and making blueprints for my own save, others liked them too, so I share them and voluntarily(!) give credits if needed.

Concerning what is allowed and what is not, Anthor is decision maker and as mentioned, people were already banned for this kind of blueprints. So probably, it is not "perfectly allowed". Or it is and Anthor is wrong? Common, i asked burgprint to open discussion on discord, if he has balls, but until now, i can not see it. HOWGH

@Ferdi like i said theres nothing more to say. if the website owner wants to post some rules they of course are more than welcome, but burgprint is still allowed to share this bp any other way he wants (ie discord, pateron, hosting his own website). and since this website owner hasnt posted any rules, and hasnt implemented creative commons licensing (which is how this should be managed) it would be bad form to enforce anything. (but again, just like this bp, perfectly allowed)

I dont know, how long you play this game, but Anthor is owner of this page, so he is the one, who setup rules and policy. And as mentioned already by someone, in past such kind of player was banned by him, means, it is against his rules. Can you imagine, how it will looks, if someone else will post burgprint tower blueprint as its own, but in green. Next day someone else in red? It will ruin purpose of this server. burgprint feel free to open this discussion on web page discord and let see consequences.

@LegapAD even if nothing was changed but the color, it doesnt matter. katoo doesnt own a copyright on satisfactory object placement. his design was shared without a license (because he doesnt own the content). burgprint didint even have to say where he got the idea from. the suggestion that katoo owns or in anyway has rights over his design is wrong.

he and you can both be upset about it, but you have no right to tell other people what they can or cannot post. if people like the design they'll use it and if they dont they wont. if you dont want people modifying or recreating your designs dont post them publicly for anyone to use??

Hey bud, why do you dehonest your work in a such way? You can not ruin Katoo's public relations, but you ruin yours. He is very respektful person in SF community, if you check TOP20 downloads, 15 of them are his. I saw your towers and great job was done. Also 12 fuel generators is ok for me. Regardless, if you used his BP(because he shared it for use), or created new one by yourself, you should put there creadit for idea and then all is OK. But this one is really behind red line. Clearly it is a copy of Katoo's blueprint(i can't judge, if you built it by yourself, or not, but it doesnt matter in this case), same 24 generators, same buffer tower, same shape, same idea... Simple, it was stolen. In past, Anthor banned such kind of plagiators, so be carefull. You had a good start of your carrier with towers, but you are going wrong direction right now.

burgprint no, it has nothing with DX version. It is problem with object, not all textures are on right place. I tried to solve this during transfer from older version, but without success. Same bug happen with refineries. Again, CLEARLY this was transferred from U7. There is no way, how this could happen in 1.0 version with nudge. So you are proud of stealing! Good to know.

burgprint no, you dont. What you can not understand from my comment? There is visual bug, which can happen ONLY during transfer from U7 version. There is no other way, how it can happen. And you have this visual bug in your BP. There is no way, how create this visual bug in 1.0 version. Can you tell me, how it happen, that you have this visual anomaly, if you nudge it in 1.0 version? There is only one possible answer, you did not nudge it, you just steal it.

I genuinely have no idea what you're on about Katoo. I used the Soft Clearance for Everything and infinite nudge mod. Blueprints to nudge them into each other. It wasn't that difficult once I figured it out.

I don't know why this upsets you so much. In the end blueprints are to help the community. I have no incentive to lie about how I made it.

Clearly this was created in U7 version and i transferred it to 1.0. And during transfer this visual bug happened. BTW, using my BP to create something by yourself and then post it, including my BP is OK. Credits are enough and that people usually do with my BPs. But you simple took my BP, changed walls and colors and post it as your own works. And to lie, you did it from scratch, if it is clearly visible, it was done by me in U7 version.

@burgprint you are simple liar, you used my blueprint and not build it from scratch. You are not enough skilled to recognize it. It was built in U7 version by me and it keeps still U7 layout and not 1.0. Unbelievable!

@Katoo Hey, as you can see I linked your blueprint in the description, first sentence. It was my inspiration.

I built this entire blueprint from scratch, yours had elements I didn't like. The tower itself is a different shape, pipes are laid out differently, nothing is stolen directly. Making this taught my alot about building techniques in Satisfactory.

Blueprints are meant to help the community, there is no financial aspect involved. I credited you and don't see any reason to unpublish.

Shame on you for stealing my blueprint and not even asking. You only changed the color and the walls. Be so kind and unpublish it.
