Have you ever had the need or want to remotely turn a conveyor belt ON/OFF? With Priority Power Switches on Update 8, you can! This is the core module that makes my ItemPicker™ Modules for J.A.W.S. blueprint set work! It can be used independently anywhere you might need it, just supply Iron Ore and enjoy!

• BLUE: 60+ Iron Ore / min IN
• YELLOW: 30 Iron Ore / min overflow OUT (sink or merge Iron Ore back into main feed line, do NOT let it back up!)
• RED: belt switch IN
• GREEN: belt switch OUT
• PURPLE: 0-30 Iron Ingot / min OUT (sink or use, do NOT Iron Ingots back up!)

How it works:

The core principle that allows this to work is the logic of a Smart Splitter: if it has two items coming in and one item backs up, both items stop flowing. In this case, we are merging a Conveyor Belt carrying exactly 30 Iron Ore per minute (thanks to the Splitter below yellow Merger dividing a Mk1 belt carrying 60 Iron Ore per minute) and Conveyor Belt carrying whatever you want (can be any speed). When the Iron Ore is being consumed by the Smelter, the second item going into Smart Splitter can flow freely, but as soon as the Smelter is turned off (remotely with a Priority Power Switch), the line backs up and cuts the flow of the second item. This module will consume 30 Iron Ore per minute (and turn them into Iron Ingots) ONLY when you have the belt switch ON!

This module can also work with Copper Ore if it is more accessible in the area you want to place a Conveyor Belt Switch. Just change the recipe on the Smelter and the configuration on Smart Splitter.

note: this is completely compatible with vanilla Update 8 Early Access but was made using Infinite Nudge mod to get the smelter and mergers as close together as possible. You will NOT need mods to use this blueprint.
