Most efficient Rubber and Plastic production 900/900 - ultra compact version v.1.0

Input:

  • Crude oil 600 (1 pipe)
  • Water 2000 (4 pipes 400 + 600 + 600 + 400)
  • Max. power consumption 3692MW

Output:

  • Plastic 900
  • Rubber 900

This BP is designed to maximize plastic and rubber production with lowest possible amount of crude oil. It is designed to use just one pure oil node to produce 900 rubber and 900 plastic per minute, without any waste. It is a late game BP, because you need to unlock blenders and MK.5 belts. As all my blueprints, serial connection is used, so plant needs to warm up firstly to reach exact 900/900 ratio. And because i use water to double product amounts, there are some steps to follow correct start. Firstly it produce rubber from resin, then from this rubber, combining with water, it produce double amount of plastics. From those plastics, another loop with combination with water, produce again double amount of rubber. Next loop same scenario, produce double amount of plastics from rubber and again, double amount of rubber from plastics. And this has to be done like this, till all internal storages are full. Therefore it is very important to not connect outputs, till all internal storages are not full. It last 30 minutes. Once refinery marked with sign TRIGGER have internal storage full(power signal change from green to yellow), you can connect output and enjoy plastic and rubber products. It will last another 30 mins to stabilize also rubber production from resin, so in first 30mins, plastic output will be higher than rubber. In total, in 60mins, plant will be stabilize and output will be exact 900/900ppm.

In short, steps to run factory correctly:

  1. connect power, one crude oil pipe and 4 water pipes(all marked by signs)(for water, you can send more than 400 to pipe, no issue, so you dont need to use valves to set exact flow to 400 - 400 is just minimum)
  2. do not connect outputs and let it run ~30 minutes(if it will be more, doesnt matter, so you dont need to watch it carefully)
  3. after 30mins, all recycled refineries will stop production due to full internal storage, i marked one of them with sign "TRIGGER" This one will be last one, so once refinery marked with TRIGGER stop production, due internal storage is full, you can connect outputs
  4. connect outputs
  5. another 30mins to get exact 900/900 ratio

Due to space in designer, i was forced to use 40 power shards. I believe, it is not big deal in this phase of game and everyone is able to collect them. I did not tested, what will happen, if you input there less than 600 oil, it will produce materials, but ratio will be wrong. So my recommendation is to use it with 600 oil+2k water.

Easiest Method

  • Find your game.ini file at:
    %LOCALAPPDATA%\FactoryGame\Saved\Config\Windows
  • Open it and add these three lines:
    [/Script/FactoryGame.FGPlayerSettings]
    mDefaultPlayerInventorySlots=200
    mDefaultArmEquipmentSlots=5
  • Save the file, start the game, and you will have 200 inventory slots.
