Outpost Storage

This in a small storage building that provides the pioneer with building material far away from the main base. On the roof there is a drone that will bring in the items on request. The items are sorted into containers.

This blueprint is intended for the end game, as you need drones an programmable splitters unlocked.

The building has a base of 4×4 foundations. It houses 10 industrial containers, 8 of them store 33 sorted materials and two are for overflow/general purpose. There is a crafting bench and an equipment workspace for crafting ammo, gas filters, inhalers, biomass, etc. and lots of storage boxes for various collected or manually crafted items (berries, artefacts, equipment, ...)

Building and Commissioning

1. Search a place. Make a base of 4×4 foundations.
2. Instantiate the blueprint.
3. Add the drone. Vehicles cannot be placed in the blueprint designer, so you have to do that now. The material for it is provided in one of the storage boxes.
4. Rename the drone port
5. Connect power (130 MW)
6. The drone port contains 20 batteries. Command it to fetch some more batteries (see below).
7. Fetch further material as needed.

Operating

1. Go to the drone port and set its destination to the drone port that provides the required parts
2. Given power and batteries, the drone now prepares for its flight. This is indicated by the drone raising its antennas.
3. Reset the destination port to 'none'.
4. The drone will continue and complete the flight it just started. It will go and bring back the material, then it will wait again.
5. Occasionally check the container with the batteries, so that it does not run empty

Tip: Initial filling of the storage

If you plan to set up an outpost storage, prepare three or four industrial containers and a drone port near your main base and fill them with the initial material for the outpost storage, a few stacks of everything.

Then take up the material you need for the outpost and go and set it up. When it is ready, command the drone to fetch all the prepared material from your main base. Let it fly until all material is transported. This is easier than to command the drone for each single material individually.
